In this Kingdom business everyone gets deployed. Some SENDings are short missions; some are long distance and extended periods of time; but everyone goes. Great!
Every week as services conclude and a stream of families emerge from the building that many refer to as DCI (in reality, we the people/believers, are DCI – the building is just a building, but you know what I mean). They get in their cars and they are deployed on short week-long missions to minister to and let their light shine in their local community. (In their house, at their work, at their grocery store–even Wal-Mart)

At other times we have families walk out the front doors in tears knowing that they wont see this place (and this gathering of people) they’ve grown to love for a long time. Maybe it’s a change in duty station. Maybe it’s a retirement followed by a permanent move. Maybe it’s a foreign mission field. These can be some emotional SEND off’s. But these SENDs are part of the process. Sometimes we can think it is solely at the mercy of the U.S. Government, other times we are knowingly being sent into a new season and mission field, but it is important to remember that God is ultimately SENDing us all and guiding us all. Sometimes the government just gets the privileged to provide the transportation.
