DCI KIDZ

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..." - Matthew 19:14

Children's Pastor

Pastor Crystal Potter

Pastor Crystal Potter was born and raised in Harlan, Kentucky. In 1993, Pastor Crystal enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and four years later settled in Onslow County, the community of her last duty station.  Onslow County has been home for her the past 28 years.  In 1999, she joined Discovery Church children’s ministry team and has been serving as children’s pastor for the past 20 years.  Having a uniquely blended heart for both the locals of Onslow County and our military community, Pastor Crystal’s mission as children’s pastor is to reach the children and introduce them to their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Pastor Crystal and her team equips the children with the word of God and helps them develop their own personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The ultimate goal is for DCI Kidz to send the children into Onslow County and throughout the nation to preach the gospel and make an impact for the Kingdom of God.

DCI Kidz Assistant Director
Amy Toth

At Discovery DCI Kidz is not a babysitting service while the adults do the important stuff; instead, they are aged specific learning groups.  We want Discovery’s children’s classes to be the highlight of your children’s week just as much as we want our Sunday Morning Services to be one of the highlights of yours.
If you’re new to DCI or simply have a new addition to your family, our “DCI hosts” (at our guest registration counter just inside the front doors) would be happy to assist you in checking your children into their appropriate classes. Thank you in advance for entrusting your precious ones to our team and allowing us to both prove ourselves to you as parents and to connect with them during these formative years. These are important years…thank you for allowing us to play a part in your children’s lives.

Sunday Mornings

DCI Kidz’ Sunday Morning experience coincide with DCI’s Sunday Morning Services at 10:30 AM.

DCI Kidz Classrooms:
A lot changes from 6 weeks to 5 years of age and each classroom is designed to effectively engage and properly care for them. We currently break DCI Kidz into 5 classrooms: infants and non-walkers, walkers, 2’s & 3’s, 4’s & 5’s, and grades 1st through 5th gather in the DCI Kidz Center adjacent to DCI’s main building.  Currently, our infant classroom is unstaffed but open to parents to utilize as needed if your child gets fussy during service
The DCI Kidz Center:
Designed for grades 1st-5th, the DCI Kidz center hosts a full service for your elementary aged children complete with worship, age appropriate presentations of the gospel, interactive games, and a reward system (Kidz Bucks) to encourage participation.
