Where did God come from?
Moses said in Psalm 90:2 "Before the mountains were born O you brought forth the earth and the world from everlasting to everlasting you are God." The Bible begins with the phrase, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" and so we see that God was before the beginning. I know this answer won't satisfy the scientific mind that must have proof.
Hebrews 11:6 says that "Without faith it is impossible to please God for we must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Some things we simply must accept by faith like the concept of God having no beginning and no ending. He is eternal. Almost too much for the logical mind to conceive yet, Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us that, "he has set eternity in the hearts of men..." In other words, the eternal creator placed eternity in the heart of his creation so that we could believe in the God we could not see. What our minds wrestle with our spirits know. Hebrews 11:3, "by faith we understand..." Faith seems to always preceded understanding when it comes to the unseen. We believe and then we will begin to see clearly.
The origin of God may be impossible to prove but his existence is obvious. Look at the intricacy and complexity of the human brain. Think about the amazing design of our bodies. Marvel at the universe. Billions of galaxies and trillions of stars, Suns of individual solar systems like ours.
Are there other worlds? Could very well be. Some think it would be arrogant on our part to believe we are alone and such a waste of an awesome universe to only have one inabited planet. Maybe, but what if the purpose of such extravagance in the heavens was simply to "declare the glory of God" to you and I so that we would have all the evidence we need to believe in him and turn to him and even desire to know him? Some things are so big they seem to be unexplainable, and at the same time, so obvious they are undeniable.
