Growth Groups: At Discovery our small groups, with a few exceptions, fall into two distinct categories . 1. Spiritual Growth Groups; and 2, Activity Based Growth Groups. These groups have a set start date, and completion date and normally run from Jan to May, Jun to Aug, and Sept to Dec. (just like school semesters). The Exceptions The following groups are typically too large to meet off church grounds. They are normally not sermon based, but still geared towards growth and service.
S.A.S.S.-C. Sisters Acquiring Spiritual Secrets - Cell. This group is for women only and meets the 2nd Friday of each month. Join Pastor Pam and the other women of Discovery for a wonderful evening. Men's Ministry: Creatively named for Discovery's men. Join Pastor Ron and the other men of Discovery as they spur each other on to be all that God has created them to be.
Financial Peace University F.P.U. is a 13 week course designed and taught by Dave Ramsey and geared to totally change your financial life. We are emotional about our money! Learn to tell it where to go instead of wondering where it went. Our next F.P.U. session will start September 12th and run to the beginning of December. Class materials are required. Women's Online Bible Study
This online Bible Study is geared towards women and focuses on the Gospels of Mark, John & Luke.
1.Attend this Bible Study in your robe...no dress code or physical meetings.
2.Discussion starters are posted Monday mornings. Feel free to chime in as often or as little as your choose.
This groupis for all our Motorcycle guys and gals. Join others in our church that share your passion for riding.
1.The Rider's for the Son Growth Group meets one Saturday afternoon a month at 2pm and one Monday a month at 6pm. Riders meet at Home Depot in Jacksonville, NC. (479 Western Blvd.)
2.Upcoming group meetings scheduled for MON. June 21, SAT. July 17, MON. July 26, SAT. Aug. 7, MON. Aug. 16.
3.Children are welcome to ride with their parents based upon each families riding practices and NC State Law.
This group is all about family…and not just adults with children.Everyone is welcomed!Come share a wonderful time with other DCI families doing all sorts of fun activities.
1.The Family Fun Growth Group meets once a month on Sundays at 2:00pm.
2.Upcoming group meetings scheduled for July 11 from 1-3pm (Beach Trip) | August 15 from 6-8pm (Golfin' Dolphin')
3.All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Looking to make the shift from the couch to the 5K or simply like to run?Who doesn’t have better health on their mind?This group is for you.
1.The Run for Fun Growth Group meets Saturdays from 7:30-8:30am at JacksonvilleCommonsRecreationCenter (located at 100 Recreation Lane, Jacksonville) - sometime alternate running locations are chosen for variety.

3.Runners are welcome to bring dogs, jogging strollers, children, etc.
Golden Eagles This group is for those seasoned 50 years or longer. They typically meet every 3rd Friday of the month at Lonestar Steakhouse for their social gatherings.
