Growth Groups: At Discovery our small groups, with a few exceptions, fall into two distinct categories . 1. Spiritual Growth Groups; and 2, Activity Based Growth Groups. These groups have a set start date, and completion date and normally run from Jan to May, Jun to Aug, and Sept to Dec. (just like school semesters). The Exceptions The following groups are typically too large to meet off church grounds. They are normally not sermon based, but still geared towards growth and service.
S.A.S.S.-C. Sisters Acquiring Spiritual Secrets - Cell. This group is for women only and meets the 2nd Friday of each month. Join Pastor Pam and the other women of Discovery for a wonderful evening. Men's Ministry: Creatively named for Discovery's men. Join Pastor Ron and the other men of Discovery as they spur each other on to be all that God has created them to be.
Financial Peace University F.P.U. is a 13 week course designed and taught by Dave Ramsey and geared to totally change your financial life. We are emotional about our money! Learn to tell it where to go instead of wondering where it went. Our next F.P.U. session will begin Sunday February 21st. Class materials are required. Spiritual Currently for our Spring 2010 Semester DCI offers the follwoing Growth Groups geared towards Spiritual Growth.
Monthly Worship
The group is geared towards those who are looking for more depth in Worship than a normal Sunday morning provides.
1.The Monthly Worship Growth Group meets the 3rd Thursday of the month from 7:30-9pm at the home Jimmie and Vanessa Ervin (located at 1214 Greenway Ct.Jacksonville).

This Bible Study focuses on Kingdom Principles such as righteousness, seed-time-harvest, and faith.
1.The Kingdom Principles Growth Group meets the 2nd Thursday of the month from 7-8pm at the home of Rick and Lori Osborne (located at 1206 Huff Dr.Jacksonville).

Activity Based Currently for our Spring 2010 Semester DCI offers the follwoing Growth Groups that are activity based.
Family Fun
This group is all about family…and not just adults with children.Everyone is welcomed!Come share a wonderful time with other DCI families doing all sorts of fun activities.
1.The Family Fun Growth Group meets once a month (usually Sundays) at 2:00pm.

This group centers on caring for our military families.Looking to get involved with a group with a mission?Let’s take care of those who take care of us.
1.The Military Care Growth Group meets the 4th Sunday of each month at Logan’s Steakhouse on Western Blvd. from 5-7pm.

3.Children are permitted to accompany their parents.
Golden Eagles This group is for those seasoned 50 years or longer. They typically meet every 3rd Friday of the month at Lonestar Steakhouse for their social gatherings.
